APALSA at Widener University School of Law will be hosting its fifth annual mentorship and networking event on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, 6:30pm, at Jasmine Restaurant, 3618 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Please visit their flyer. Please see the following message from Widener APALSA's President Prema Roddam:
As the President of Widener APALSA, I am delighted to invite you to our FIFTH ANNUAL MENTORING PROGRAM - NETWORKING NIGHT on November 1st 2011. For the past four years, Widener APALSA's Networking Night has had great success. Attorneys like you have been a big part of this program's success by volunteering to be a Mentor to our law students.
Through this Mentoring Program, Asian-American leaders in the law community provide guidance and advice to Widener APALSA student members. It is a unique program where APALSA members seeking mentors are matched with an attorney who volunteers to be a mentor. We introduce the attorney (mentor) to the student (mentee) at our Annual Networking Event. This is a great opportunity for law students to foster a relationship with an attorney that will be productive and meaningful for both the student and the Mentor. Mentors like you have volunteered to help bridge the gap between the academic world and the professional environment. Through this program, we hope to promote an exchange of dialogue where advice and professional experiences may be shared with our law students from an Asian-American perspective.
Our Annual Networking Night is on November 1, 2011 at 6.30 pm at Jasmine Restaurant in Wilmington, Delaware. It would be an honor and a privilege to have your support and participation in our Mentoring Program. We hope that you will join us for this event and volunteer to be a Mentor. We welcome attorneys to attend our networking event even if they do not wish to be mentors to law students.
An invitation is here. We request an RSVP by October 24th to premaroddam@gmail.com. If you need more information or have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 908-380-1727.
